Make plans now to join us on Thursday night September 22nd for our first ever Portuguese Wine Tasting! This intimate event will feature a “Vineyard Tasting Room” style format in our 100 yr old patina’d barn overlooking Volo’s year-round #1 Hidden City Patio (Chicago Magazine) – now featuring a retractable awning and heated patio (open air weather permitting).
We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the season than by learning about and discovering exciting wines from across Portugal – think dry reds from Bairrada, delicious whites from Vinho Verde, progressive offerings from the Douro, and more – all curated by Volo Wine Director Meghan Vendette, who is keeping the focus on small, boutique production. Swirl, Smell, Sip & Savor up to seven selections during this progressive tasting.
Please note this tasting will feature 2 separate 1.5 hour tasting sessions – an early and a late – each limited to a maximum of 30 guests. The early session will be from 6:00pm until 7:30pm, and a late session from 8pm until 9:30pm – allowing plenty of time for guests to enjoy the tasting at their own pace.
Attendees who make arrangements to reserve a table and dine with us either prior to attending the later tasting, or after attending the earlier tasting, will also enjoy a 15% discount on food for this evening only (online dinner reservations for this evening via http://volorestaurant.com/reservations/ recommended to guarantee dinner seating).

Important Note: Volo’s kitchen opens at 5pm and closes at 10pm, and while a full menu will be available for guests seated for dinner, this is a “wine only” tasting and food will not be available for order in the event area during the tasting. Thank you for your understanding.
