Ravines Wine Cellars is an artisanal winery in the flourishing, world-class wine region of the Finger Lakes, located in upstate New York. It is the passion of Morten & Lisa Hallgren, a European Winemaker/Oenologist and his Chef wife. Together, they have created a small, distinctive winery, crafting elegant and expressive wines using Old World winemaking practices.

The event will take place at Volo Restaurant Wine Bar in Chicago’s charming Roscoe Village neighborhood, just a mile and a half west of Wrigley Field. Arrive early and enjoy an aperitif with special guest Lisa Hallgren from Ravines Wine Cellars, Hugh Gilmore from their local distributor Novovino, along with Volo Managing Partner Jon Young and friends for what is sure to be an event full of exciting wines, exceptional food, and good cheer!

About Volo Chef Partner Stephen Dunne: Before arriving in Chicago, Stephen worked in celebrated restaurants in New Orleans, Las Vegas, & San Francisco in addition to training at the 3-Star Michelin Restaurant Lucas Carton in Paris. Once in Chicago, he took over Chef de Cuisine positions at Spago Chicago, and the then recently opened MK. Stephen & Jon joined forces in 2005 to open Volo, now celebrating its 15th year.

About Ravines Wine Cellars:

When Morten and Lisa started Ravines in 2001, they were the only winery in the Finger Lakes with a Winemaker holding a formal degree and training from Europe and a winery pursuing a traditional winemaking approach – making exclusively dry, vinifera wines.
